These reproduction lights are highly polished aluminium copies in the same style as the original brass ones I get from time to time. These are tasteful, light and a faithful to the design of the lights they are influenced by. They take the same glass as old ones, in some of them you occasionally even get an old glass fitted, and they all have the same bulb fittings. They do have marks and lack some of the refinements of the real thing, but this adds to their replica aged charm, these are solid working lights. The internal fittings are porcelain and are all new, they are the correct ceramic type and take a standard BC Bayonet bulb. This means you get the best of both worlds, vintage cool but a brand new light and fittings that will last many many years. These lights require wiring up correctly. They have good seals however they are not rated for wet area's or for outdoor use. Please note each light is very unique, the condition, marks and patina can vary as can the glass. I do my best to match them when customers buy more than 1 but however hard I try there are always at least subtle differences.
